Well done to the Awesome Team from Vic who not only blitzed their rivals but blew everyone out of the water with their impressive line up of skills and the huge level of difficulty in all their routines.

After a very sick week – Rachel pulled it together and did what she does best.....Although her beam and floor were shaky, she still stayed on and pulled out was massive skills. Rachel is currently placing 1st on Bars – so fingers crossed.....Laura did a great job tonight and pulled out an impressive vault – which is placing her in 4th at the moment! Her quality really stood out tonight – I am so proud of both girls!!!!!

MONDAY 5th JULY

Hi All,

Nationals has been jam packed – full days, with early starts and late finishes (for the coaches anyway), not even seeing the day light!!!

Waverley girls are doing well. Emily Cavell competed last night and did really well. She hit all 4 apparatus and looked nice doing it. She is stoked to be in the top 10 AA and I think she is like 6th on Bars! So I am pretty happy with that.

Laura & Rach compete in the National 10 teams tonight. Rach has been sick as a dog, with vomiting every night and not eating much. She didn’t train yesterday at all. And her ankle isn’t too good – fingers crossed she will wake up this morning with some energy for tonight's competition. May have to look at rearranging some of her routines!! Laura has been training really well and is so focused, which is great to see! I say go girls and good luck to the Victorian Team!!!!

SUNDAY 4th JULY

We all enjoyed a nice sleep in........ well on Melbourne time anyway!! All got up around 8am, which is 10am in Melbourne!!!

Enjoyed a nice breakfast, before heading down to the beach for our Official Team Photo’s. Photos look great, but boy it was cold down there!

After photos we came back to our rooms to relax, before heading off to Harbour Town for a quick bit of shopping! I think we all loved that, I know the coaches certainly did. And I am sure the girls would have loved to stay but we did have to leave to go to Podium Training.....

Podium Training was pretty good – we got through with no major issues and girls felt comfortable on the equipment. Although the gym was quite cold to train in and we had a few sick (flu) gymnasts...... Poor Rach is extremely sick, and has been resting up in the chaperones room.

All Victorian Teams looked solid out there for the first time on the competition floor, they all seemed to worked well together and got through lots of numbers.....

SATURDAY 3rd JULY

We have all arrived here in Perth safe and sound..... Flight over was great and smooth. Hotel / Resort is very nice. Dinner was also yummy.

Not much today, just flight over, checking in, settling in and dinner. Girls are now in bed (9pm) - as their bodies are still on Monday time, which is 11pm!!!

Podium Training tomorrow - afternoon. So will send through further updates then and more photos!
