goes to Stanford early

Congratulations
to Georgia Bonora who was selected to represent Australia at the
Commonwealth Games and to Shona Morgan who was selected as the first
reserve for the Commonwealth Games team. Further congratulations
to Shona Morgan, Georgia Bonora and Emma Dennis who were all selected
on the 2010 World Championships Training squad to progress through
to the final team Trial in September.
National
Championships
Congratulations to all our Waverley gymnasts and coaches who won
10 Australian titles between them,
including 3 All Around Australian titles!

Congratulations
to Angela Donald who has been selected to represent Australia at
the Youth Olympics in August. Well done Angela on this fantastic

Congratulations
to Shona Morgan who received confirmation that she has been awarded
a full Gymnastics Scholarship to one of the most prestigious Universities
in the World – Stanford University, California, USA. It is
wonderful to see the exciting opportunities that competitive gymnastics

Victorian
Championships
Congratulations to the Waverley girls that achieved sensational
results at the Victorian Championships! Waverley took out the State
team titles winning 1st place at International level 3, International
level 5, National 6 and in the top division (Snr/Jnr International)
they also took out 1st place, with VHPC 2nd and MLC 3rd. Every team
that Waverley entered in this event walked away with the gold medal!

Snr/Jnr International Individual highlights included Georgia Bonora
winning the Snr International title, Angela Donald winning the Jnr
International title, Rachel Figgis winning the National 10 title,
Eliza Freeman winning the International 6 title, Brittany Davison
winning the National 6 title and Yasmin El-Dabagh winning the National
7 title. Our Waverley girls also won many more medals and state
titles in both the All Around and on apparatus. Click

Congratulations
to Angela Donald and the Jnr Australian team that competed so well
in Germany at the Pre Olympic Youth Cup. Angela placed an impressive
2nd AA, 1st Bars, 3rd Beam, 3rd Vault, 4th Floor. Well done Angela!!!


Pacific
Rim Championships
Congratulations to Emma Collister and the Australian team who competed
so well at the Pacific Rim Championships placing 3rd!!!!! Emma did
an amazing job and was the highest placing Junior from Australia
(and the 2nd highest placing Australian gymnast out of Juniors and
Seniors combined) in the All Around competition. Emma placed 6th
All Around as well as qualifying for three apparatus finals and
placing 6th Vault, 6th Floor and 7th Bars! Well done Emma!!!
